The dogs are housed in separate kennels, all under cover with good air circulation in the summer and heated with lamps throughout the winter as required. The kennels are cleaned each morning and afternoon and as neccessary during the day.

We walk the dogs twice daily in our orchard field. Dogs from the same household are exercised together, otherwise they are walked individually.

Regular daily meal times are strictly adhered to.

You must bring your dog’s food either in a plastic tub with a scoop or bagged into individual meals please write down full feeding instructions so we can keep to your dog’s diet as a sudden change can upset the digestive system.

We can cater for raw food too.

We are happy to administer medication at an extra cost.

If your dog requires medication while staying with us this must be arranged before boarding.

In the case of your dog becoming ill, a vet will be called on behalf of the owner. Vet fees are the responsibility of the owner and any bills will be payable on collection. You will be asked to sign a form stating that you authorise us to call a veterinary surgeon on your behalf, and at your expense if necessary.

Dogs must be fully vaccinated and an up-to-date vaccination record must be produced on arrival at Dunclent.

Your dog must be fully vaccinated against parvovirus, distemper, hepatitis, leptospirosis and kennel cough.

We will not accept any pet without proof of up-to-date vaccinations, it is the owner’s responsibility to make sure their pet is up to date with vaccinations.

A flea and worming program with dates is also required.
