Dunclent Cattery & Kennels, Boarding Terms & Conditions
Boarding Charges
A full day’s boarding fee is charged for both the day of arrival and the day of departure. A minimum charge of two days applies. Owners remain responsible for the full cost of the confirmed booking period, even if pets are collected earlier than the booked departure date.
Booking Fee: A non-refundable non- transferable booking fee is required to secure all reservations. This fee will be deducted from the final balance. Bookings are not confirmed until the booking fee has been received.
Booking Information
Owners must ensure all booking information (including online bookings) is accurate and up to date, including vaccinations, medical conditions, behaviour, feeding instructions and emergency contact details.
Payment Terms
Payment is due on arrival. If payment is not made at arrival, the balance must be paid within 24 hours of the pet’s arrival. A £20 late payment fee will apply if payment is not received within this timeframe.
Vaccinations
All dogs and cats must have up-to-date vaccinations. Certificates must be provided before or at the time of arrival.
Feeding
Owners must provide enough own food for the pets stay with written instructions.
Medication
Owners must provide clearly labelled medication with written instructions. While every effort will be made to administer medication as instructed, Dunclent Cattery & Kennels cannot be held liable for complications arising from administering medication or pre-existing conditions.
Veterinary Care
If a pet becomes ill or injured, we reserve the right to contact a veterinary surgeon. All veterinary fees are the responsibility of the owner.
Aggressive Behaviour
Owners must inform us of any behavioural issues. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel boarding if a pet shows aggressive behaviour.
Pet Injuries to Others
Owners are responsible for any injury or damage caused by their pet to other animals, staff, or property during the boarding period. Dunclent Cattery & Kennels cannot be held liable for such incidents, and any veterinary or repair costs incurred will be the responsibility of the owner.
Right to Refuse Boarding
Dunclent Cattery & Kennels reserves the right to refuse admission or cancel boarding if a pet arrives in poor health, without valid vaccination documentation, or if the animal displays behaviour that may pose a risk to staff or other animals.
Late Collection
Pets must be collected on the agreed departure date and time. Additional boarding charges will apply for late collections or extended stays.
Personal Belongings
Owners may provide bedding, toys, or personal items for their pets; however, Dunclent Cattery & Kennels cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage to these items during the boarding period.
Liability
Whilst every care is taken, pets are boarded at the owner’s risk. Dunclent Cattery & Kennels cannot accept liability for illness, stress-related conditions, injury, loss, or death arising from pre-existing conditions or circumstances beyond our control.
Non-Payment / Uncollected Pets
If a pet is not collected within the agreed boarding period and no contact has been made with the owner or emergency contact, Dunclent Cattery & Kennels reserves the right to take appropriate action to safeguard the welfare of the animal. Any additional boarding fees and associated costs will remain the responsibility of the owner.
Photographs
Dunclent Cattery & Kennels may occasionally take photographs of pets during their stay for welfare records or promotional purposes. No personal owner information will be shared.
Data Protection
Dunclent Cattery & Kennels holding and processing your personal data for the purpose of providing boarding services. Your information will be stored securely and will not be shared with third parties without consent unless required by law.
